Michael Russo

Michael Russo is an original South Philly guy who hung out and sang on the corner of 13th St. & Morris in South Philly. He grew up loving Motown, oldies, and the Philadelphia sounds of the Stylistics, the Intruders, Eddie Holman, and the Delfonics. Michael joined a band in the early 70s and had the privilege of singing lead and sharing all of the songs from that era in the South Jersey night clubs. When the casino opened, Mr. Russo had the privilege of opening for Gladys Knight and the Pips, Jackie Wilson and the Tramps. Today he still continues to work on a national level. He also sings Doo-Wop and does an excellent tribute to the original Duprees. Mr. Russo had the privilege of singing lead on “This Magic Moment” with the Reflections, toured with Eddie Holman, The Flamingos, and The Drifters. He also worked with the Mystics, and covers songs from Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka and many more….
